Points North Theatre Company is holding auditions for its 2026 production of The Woodlands Shakespeare Festival -- THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR. This production is directed by John Barton.
Auditions are Saturday, June 20, 2026; you can choose your audition slot by clicking on the event link. Rehearsals will be Saturdays starting July 11 in The Woodlands, with at least one performance taking place at the festival on September 26 (with hopefully more to be announced).
Be prepared to cold-read from sides; optional short monologues may also be considered. No roles have been pre-cast, and actors and crew of all ages and abilities are encouraged to audition. The role of Falstaff is open to actors of all sizes, since he will have a special costume for the role. If necessary, callbacks will happen Monday, June 22.

In this randy, rowdy comedy, hedonist sad sack Falstaff tries to woo two married women in a get-rich-quick scheme, only to have it backfire in a spectacular way.

Doctor Caius – a French physician
John Rugby – a servant to Doctor Caius
Mistress Quickly – servant to Doctor Caius
Robert Shallow – a Country Justice.
Abraham Slender – cousin to Shallow.
Peter Simple – servant to Slender.
Fenton – a young gentleman
