Points North is determined to bring quality theatre for audiences of all types and ages to The Woodlands area. With our origins going all the way back to 2000, we know what is needed to satisfy audiences and students alike.
Our Story
“Way back when,” we started out as UpStage Theatre and spent many years based in the Houston Heights area. Realizing that there was a need for a quality theatrical venue in The Woodlands area, we pulled up stakes and settled in to our new digs. Today, we bring you the best in children’s theatre, mature-audience entertainment, festivals, original productions, and theatrical education.

Sean K. Thompson
Artistic Director
Sean has been artistic director of Points North (and its original incarnation of UpStage Theatre) since 2010.
Samuel Sigman
President, Board of Directors
Sam started out as UpStage’s technical director and soon became an invaluable leader of the Points North team when he assumed the presidency.
Amanda Slusser
Education Director
Amanda brings years of schoolteaching and theatrical experience to Points North, and along with her comes a suite of curricula catered to bring the best out in your children.
Johnny Barton
Technical Director
Johnny brings years of technical expertise to Points North, along with significant work as a local radio personality and stage presence.
Jennifer Mikolas
Operations Director
Jennifer’s keen eye to detail and operations are an essential key to keeping Points North running smoothly.
Paul Heyman
Treasurer
Paul is a certified public accountant who ensures that Points North is responsible with its budgets and production costs
